Today, the Premier League clubs voted on whether to keep five changes over the next season or not and then the result was that they go back to three changes.

According to the BBC, many have expressed the opinion that five changes have benefited the big clubs.

Leagues and tournaments may choose to implement the rule until August 2021 and this means that it can be used during the European Championships next summer.
