The hall test and record has been a recurring point during the pre-season. At the end of June, Frida Karlsson broke a new record, with a time of 8.36, which she then polished by four seconds.

- I was most surprised that I took my old personal best by such a large margin, that's really where you compete. You want to see the development and that is proof of that, she tells SVT Sport.

Satisfied - despite losing record

The previous record was 8.56 and the holder was Ebba Andersson. However, she could comfort herself by setting a new competition record on the same distance. During the running competition "From the bottom to the Sugar Loaf" she ran to the finish on 9.01.

- I, who had a little so and so with the running in recent years due to my knee problems, received a confirmation that I am not so many seconds from my personal record, she says to SVT Sport.

"It remains to be seen"

The hall test is a well-known fitness test among cross-country skiers. The test is a maximum run of 1800 meters with 210 altitude meters straight up Hallstabacken in Sollefteå.

- It is with horror-mixed delight that you tackle it. It is really a tradition, at least in Skellefteå, to run that test, says Ebba Andersson.

The question is whether we get to see the two stars on the slopes at the same time.

- A classic Hallstatest is an individual start, but I do not know, it remains to be seen, says Ebba Andersson.
