Loss with 0-4 against Häcken and then 0-1 against Djurgården in the Stockholm derby.

It was the last results that finally made the Norling Cup overflow in AIK and the experienced coach had to leave the club.

Earlier this week, Bartosz Grzelak was presented as the new coach for "Gnaget" and his first task was an away match against the Allsvenskan jumbo.

In Kalmar, the supporters saw Erik Israelsson back on the football field. Already in March, he was presented as ready in the club, but it was only now that July became August that he was ready to play. Israelsson got 75 rather invisible minutes in the season debut before he stepped down.

Difficult to create goal chances

This match would actually have started already at 2.30 pm on Saturday. But after AIK got stuck on Öland, the match was moved for several hours. Maybe it was because the long sitting on the bus remained in his legs, because the pace was probably not what Grzelak had hoped for.

Kalmar defended well and AIK drummed on. Not least in the second half where they had over 75 percent of the ball possession - but without coming to any conclusion on goals.

- It feels like a half step forward offensively. We are gaining a point and we have some goal chances where we should have made better of it, says Nabil Bahoui to Dplay.

The match ended goalless. Kalmar is thus still jumbo in the Allsvenskan, while we find AIK a few places higher in the table in eleventh place.
