JBC, the Japan Boxing Commission, which is a general body of professional boxing, announced that a teenage trainee in a gym in Okinawa Prefecture was infected with the new coronavirus.

According to JBC, the infection was found to be a teenage male trainee who belongs to a gym in Okinawa Prefecture, and was found to be "positive" for one day as a result of a PCR test.

The trainee complained of fever after practicing at the gym on the 28th of last month, and is waiting at home for future hospitalization.

The gym to which the trainee belongs is now closed and waiting for the decision of the public health center who is a heavy contact.

In professional boxing, a total of 16 people, including athletes who belonged to gyms in Osaka Prefecture and athletes who were visiting for practice, were infected one after another last month. We have informed about 280 gyms nationwide to keep ourselves under control.
