This is a new twist in the case of the acquisition of Olympique de Marseille. Surely not satisfied to have received an end of inadmissibility from the owner of the club Frank McCourt for his last offer, Mohamed Ayachi Ajroudi has just set his sights on the Vélodrome stadium.

Give OM "its forever home"

In a press release published on August 1 by his representatives, notably Wingate, the Franco-Tunisian businessman and his partners “officially express their interest in this acquisition because they wish to offer Olympique de Marseille the property of his house of always ". The act is above all strategic. By bringing the new city council into the debate, Mohamed Ayachi Ajroudi tries to play a last card to bend Frank McCourt. By proposing to include the Vélodrome, the businessman wants to show that his buyout plan is ambitious and comprehensive.

It remains to be seen how the parties concerned will react. For the moment, the City Council did not want to get involved as the advice of Ajroudi recognizes. Trying to know if the rumors of the sale of the stadium by the city were founded, their "demarches remained unanswered". To get one quickly, Mohamed Ayachi Ajroudi has therefore chosen to continue "to deal with this matter through the media". The sports soap opera of the summer can therefore continue.
