Bert-Jan Lindeman is almost certainly busy with his last months at Jumbo-Visma. The 31-year-old rider has been told that his contract will not be extended.

"I have been told that I can look forward to another team," said the rider from Assen to RTV Drenthe . "Of course I am disappointed, but it is what it is and I cannot say much about it."

Lindeman has been driving for the Dutch WorldTour formation since 2015. Previously, he played for Vacansoleil-DCM and the Rabobank training team.

The attacker pur sang had his greatest success in 2015, when he won the seventh stage in the Vuelta a España. He was the first to cross the line in a tough mountain stage. In 2016 he was allowed to participate in the Tour de France.

Lindeman started in the Strade Bianche on Sunday, as a servant of the eventual winner Wout van Aert. He will be driving Milan-Turin next Wednesday.

Jumbo-Visma managed to capture the promising Dutchmen David Dekker and Gijs Leemreize for next year. Reportedly, Sam Oomen also signs a team with the formation in the short term.
