The Swedish racing stars in the indy series Marcus Ericsson and Felix Rosenqvist will thus have to wait for the Honda Indy 200 competition in Mid-Ohio, which was to be run on 8-9 August.
The decision was made after consultation with local health authorities, due to the prevailing health situation with the pandemic in Ohio.
The management of the indycar series now hopes to find a new date in September or October to be able to complete the competition.
No other races have been canceled so far, and thus the next race in the series will be run on August 23 in Indianapolis.
A competition that according to the plan will receive a record audience for the season.
