SC Heerenveen lost the exhibition game on a visit to NAC Breda on Saturday. The Eredivisionist lost 1-0 in the final phase against the Kitchen Champion Division club.

Finn Stokkers crowned himself a match winner. The NAC attacker scored the only goal in the 89th minute by shooting the ball into the far corner after a nice pass from Thom Haye to goalkeeper Jan Bekkema.

Heerenveen joined with a very young team. The only 15-year-old Yoram Boerhout made his unofficial debut. Remarkably enough, Rodney Kongolo was on the form as reserve keeper because acquisition Erwin Mulder was not yet eligible to play.

There were 800 spectators in the Rat Verlegh Stadium who, according to the corona protocol, were 1.5 meters apart. A large part did cheer enthusiastically at the hit, something that the cabinet recently advised against.

The teams from the Eredivisie and Keuken Kampioen are testing this month in mutual practice matches with the audience in the stadiums. In the competition - the Eredivisie starts on September 12 and the Kitchen Champion Division on August 28 - they are one third full.

Later on Saturday FC Utrecht-AZ (5.30 pm) and FC Groningen-Heracles Almelo (8 pm) are on the program. Arjen Robben, who has returned as a football player, is still missing from FC Groningen.
