On the night before Friday, NBA basketball restarted at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, with a large demonstration against social injustice.

During the national anthem, all players knelt in black jerseys with the text "Black lives matter". And during the match, they had different phrases and messages written on their shoes and tank tops.

According to CNN, Orlando Magic's Jonathan Isaac became the first NBA player not to participate. Before the meeting with the Brooklyn Nets (victory with 128-118), he chose to stand up during the national anthem wearing his white team uniform. All his teammates knelt in black shirts.

Isaac later explained that he does not like to "put on a shirt and squat goes hand in hand with supporting the Black Life Matter movement".

The NBA usually has that all players must stand up for the national anthem, but league manager Adam Silver said after Friday's matches that no player will be punished.

The Black lives matter movement has characterized both the American public debate and American professional sports in recent months. The reason is several high-profile cases where police used lethal force against unarmed black people.
