It was Chelsea who started the scoring at the classic Wembley Stadium.

Already in the fifth minute of the game Christian Pulisic ended a nice attack when the blue-clad short-passed through Arsenal's penalty area and painted. A promising start to the match for Frank Lampard and his men, to say the least.

It was Chelsea who held the ball but still Arsenal who had the most shots on goal in the first half.

After 28 minutes, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. First he won a penalty kick entirely on his own and a few minutes later - after a VAR check - he safely rolled in the equalizer behind Wilfredo Caballero.

Delicious lifting

It was a 1-1 draw before the second half.

Once there, the match was more closed than in the first and we only noted one shot on goal during the final 45 minutes. But it ended, it went in goal.

This when Aubameyang got the ball at the penalty area line, fouled Kurt Zouma and lobbed the ball over Caballero into the net.

Arsenal then held off and won the FA Cup for the 14th time. With that, they are now even more "most champions" when it comes to FA Cup titles. Manchester United is closest behind in its twelve titles.

This was Mikel Arteta's first title as coach of Arsenal.
