It was on Sunday that the Norwegian Ski Association announced that the Norwegian cross-country skier Ingvild Flugstad Östberg had a new fracture in her foot, a so-called fatigue fracture. In an interview with NRK, the 29-year-old now talks about his injury worries.

- I approached normal training, and of course it felt good. So I'm going on this. It's sad and I did not hope for that. But I will get through this as well and think as positively as possible, she says to NRK.

Several injury concerns

Flugstad Östberg suffered an overload injury in March, but was back in training with the national team in June. But now she has been injured again and will be gone for several months. It has given the star time to think about how much her body can tolerate and that it will also function after her career.

"Drive hard with the body"

- I drive hard with my body, so such thoughts appear and are in the picture when you make your values. These are scary thoughts, she says in the interview.

But apart from the scary thoughts, she also looks back on her career with pride after two Olympic golds, a World Cup gold and a total of nine international championship medals.

- I have fulfilled many dreams. I have been determined to take advantage of the moments I have experienced, she tells NRK.
