The night before Friday, Swedish time, it is again vomiting in the world's best basketball league.

The NBA season will be played at Disney World in Florida. To minimize the risk of infection, the team has been isolated in a tightly controlled bubble at the amusement park. The matches will be played in three arenas in the huge sports complex inside the park, without an audience and with only a few journalists present at each match. More than 350 players live in three hotels at Disney World, with limited access and a restraining order from outsiders until the playoffs start.

In a USA with over 150,000 people dead in covid-19, the restart will be a challenge for the league. Regular tests are performed on all players and leaders during their stay in Orlando.

Lakers out first

The latest massive corona test of 346 NBA players showed zero positive cases. If a player becomes infected, two negative tests are required before he can return to the team.

"From my point of view, it works very well and I am cautiously optimistic that we are on the right track," NBA Commissioner Adam Silver told the New York Times.

- The real test comes when we start playing basketball without either mouth protection or physical distancing.

First out in Thursday's restart is Utah against New Orleans. A few hours later, the Lakers and Clippers settle in a Los Angeles derby.

LeBron James Lakers led the Western Conference when the league game was paused on March 11. He admits that it will be special to play now.

- I definitely have a slightly different mindset and a slightly different feeling about it all than normal. I will not turn off my phone during this time. I have to keep in touch with my family every single day. It is not possible to let go in these circumstances. But I will not cheat. I will do everything for the team and for the fans. I'm ready, says LeBron James to the NBA's website.

22 teams participate

The basic series must be completed by August 17 when the playoffs begin. 22 teams are included in the restart of the amusement park. This means that the league's eight worst teams will not be allowed to play more this season.

The LA Lakers, LA Clippers, Denver, Utah, Oklahoma, Houston, Milwaukee, Toronto, Boston, Miami, Indiana and Philadelphia are already ready for the playoffs.

The final series will be played as late as October.

The Black lives matter movement will be most present during the matches. On all three levels, the words "black lives matter" appear on the floors and players will be allowed to wear tank tops adorned with messages of social justice.
