Four of the season's competitions on the LPGA Tour had time to be completed before the game was paused due to the corona pandemic.

But after a five-month break, the American professional tour now opens up for games again.

On Friday, the competition begins at the Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio. This with as many as six Swedes in the starting field.

Tested positive

But it will be without the Mexican Gaby Lopez. She has tested positive for covid-19 and thus misses the restart.

“I was very expectant before I could start competing again. While I am disappointed to have to wait a little longer, I am glad that I do not risk exposing anyone else to risks. I feel good and look forward to coming back as soon as possible ", the Mexican writes in a statement.

The 26-year-old follows the safety protocols and will be in quarantine for at least ten days now. On the PGA Tour, seven cases of covid-19 have been recorded since they started after the corona pandemic.

Sagström misses the audience

The competition in Toledo is completely new on the program and on this course the Solheim Cup will also be played next year. This weekend's competition will, however, be without an audience on site.

Madelena Sagström is the best ranked Swede (53rd).

- It will be great fun to see what the training has given. A current situation and to see where it can lead to in the future, Sagström says to SVT Sport.
