Funny summer preparation for FC Nantes. This Tuesday evening, 20 Minutes learned that at least five new people from the Canaries professional group have tested positive for Covid-19 in recent hours. The FCN did not confirm the number of people affected, but simply specified that a press release would be released after consultation with the regional health agency of Pays-de-la-Loire, this Wednesday.
Three positive cases last week already
As a reminder, three members already of the professional group (a player in this case Marcus Coco, a member of the technical staff and an administrative staff very close to the pros) had tested positive last Thursday. They had obviously not been on the trip to Anderlecht on Saturday (0-0), just like several other “contact case” players (Jan, Pereira, Ba, Moutoussamy, Louza, Blas and Bamba).
On Saturday, FC Nantes are due to play their third preparation match in Belgium against Charleroi.
