Bahrain also becomes the main sponsor of the club, which narrowly escaped relegation last season by finishing 17th in L2. "The sporting ambition of the men's first team is to reach Ligue 1 in the next three years, and to hoist its women's team as high as possible in the D1 Women's championship", promises Paris FC.
A new foreign investor expected
The club has not played in the elite since 1974 and is in the shadow of Paris SG, owned since 2011 by Qatar, Bahrain's neighboring emirate. It plans a 30% increase in its budget, without specifying when.
