In the last round of the Premier League, three teams made up for the last two places in the Champions League. Manchester United and Chelsea had the best starting position and behind that chased Leicester.

In a directly decisive match, Leicester hosted Manchester United. The newly acquired Bruno Fernandes became the match hero for his United when in the 71st minute of the match he scored 1-0 for the guests on penalty.

Fernandes joined the club in January and has been a major contributor to his team's fine form at the end. Since the league restarted, after the corona break, United have been undefeated and that did not change on Sunday night. The match against Leicester ended 2-0 after Jesse Lingard scored the decisive goal in the 98th minute.

Chelsea clinched the last CL place

It was already clear that Liverpool, who won the league, and Manchester City were ready for the Champions League. Fourth place and last CL place took Chelsea after winning with a comfortable 2-0 at home against Wolverhampton.

With two late goals in extra time in the first half, through Mason Mount and Olivier Giroud, the London team did what they needed to do.
