The statement added: "The club's board of directors adhered to its decision not to consider the issue of renewing contracts for foreign or local players for the next season, except according to the technical report, which will be presented by coach Jorge Simao at the end of the current season."

Amer Shafi'a had joined the Fayhaa classes during the 2019 winter transfers from Jordan's youth.
