His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, issued Emiri Decree No. 18 of 2020 regarding the formation of the Sharjah Sports Council.
The Emiri Decree stipulates that the Sharjah Sports Council will be formed under the chairmanship of Issa Ali Hilal Al Hazami, and membership of: Adel Saleh Youssef Al Hammadi, Abdullah Abdul Rahman Youssef Bin Sultan, Abdullah Sultan Al Dah Al Matrooshi, Abdullah Ali Sultan Sultan Al Hammadi, Abdullah Muhammad Al Malih Al Fazari, Abdul Malik Muhammad Abdul Rahim Jani, Abdul Latif Nasser Ali Al Fardan and Omar Hassan Ali bin Hanifa and Fatima Muhammad Habib Musharbak and Nada Abdul-Razzaq Askar al-Naqbi.
According to the Emiri Decree, the Sharjah Sports Council distributes administrative positions among its members at its first meeting, and the council elects a vice-president from among the members by consensus or by direct secret ballot.
The Emiri Decree specified the term of membership in the Council to be four years starting from the date of the issuance of this decree. It may be extended for a similar period or periods.
This decree is effective from the date of its issuance, and the concerned authorities must implement it in its respective areas, and it shall be published in the Official Gazette.
