Lyon will resume the competition with two capital matches, first in the Coupe de la Ligue final against PSG and then against Juventus in the 8th return of the Champions League. Coach Rudi Garcia assured that "nothing will move" on the Lyon transfer window before these two meetings.

INTERVIEW

After more than four months of stoppage due to the coronavirus pandemic, Olympique Lyonnais will resume competition with two hot appointments. OL will first face PSG in the Coupe de la Ligue final, next Friday, before meeting Juventus Turin in the round of 16 second leg of the Champions League on August 7 (1-0 victory in the 'go). The "Gones" will they recruit in view of these two cleaver matches? The answer is no, Lyon coach Rudi Garcia assured Sunday evening on Europe 1.

"There are two phases: nothing will move until the two matches, the final of the Coupe de la Ligue against PSG and the eighth return of the Champions League against Juventus (Friday, August 7). which is at our disposal at the moment, knowing that we have lost two important players: Lucas Tousart, gone to Herta Berlin, and Martin Terrier, gone to Rennes ", certified Rudi Garcia.

"Things are clear, we have needs"

For the OL coach, it will be time to reshape the Lyon workforce after these two meetings, or even later if the Lyonnais manage to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League. "We will see after these two ends of competition. It will then be time to readjust because things are clear, we have needs", judged Rudi Garcia, while Lyon is coming out of a very complicated season, finished in a disappointing 7th place (Ligue 1 was stopped after 28 days).

"But it's far from my concern. Juninho (the sports director) and Bruno Cheyrou (the new head of the recruitment unit) manage this," assured the former coach of Lille, Roma and OM , who also spoke about his relationship with Juninho. "With Juninho, we have our neighboring offices, we discuss all subjects: sports, extrasporters… Bruno Cheyrou is an important resource, but above all he has discussions with Juninho for recruitment."
