Eskilstuna's Emma Engström is likely to miss the rest of the Damallsvenska football season.

The 20-year-old striker, with merits from the U23 national team, was injured in the away meeting with Rosengård (1-2) two weeks ago. She has undergone surgery for a lower leg fracture and meniscus injury in her left knee.

Now the club announces that Emma Engström is expected to be gone for four to six months.

"With the support of the association's medical team, Emma has already begun her rehabilitation to return to play," writes Eskilstuna in a press release.

It is the 13th serious knee injury in the damallsvenskan this season.
