The British newspaper "Mirror" revealed that the English club Liverpool plans to support the team's defense line with an Arab deal during the current summer transfer period, based on the recommendation of its German coach Juergen Klopp.

The newspaper said: "The Algerian international star, Issa Mandi, who currently wears the Real Betis shirt, has become strongly wanted by Klopp, who seems to admire the technical levels the player offers," which is likely to move to the Reds to become the second Arab player in the team after the Egyptian Mohamed Salah.

She added that "Real Betis may agree to sell the Algerian player for 10 million pounds, in light of the club being affected by the Corona crisis, but Liverpool will find competition from his fellow Newcastle who is watching the player and seeks to obtain his services as well."

Mandy, 29, was one of the most prominent players in the Algerian national team crowned the African Cup of Nations last year.
