OM's second summer recruit, after Le Havre Pape Gueye, Leonardo Balerdi was trained as a defensive midfielder, before revealing himself behind with the legendary Boca Juniors club, from which his new partner Dario Benedetto also came. After only five tenures with Boca, this player presented as a technique more than a “warrior” caught the eye of Borussia Dortmund, who therefore recruited him during the winter transfer window 2019.
