The announcement of the management of the Italian Football Club AC Milan to extend the contract of coach Stefano Bioli until 2022 sent a feeling of satisfaction to the majority of the fans of the team, who expressed their opposition to the idea of allowing the contract with German coach Ralf Rangnick.
The Milan administration admitted in a statement published late on Tuesday evening that Bioli "brilliantly managed both the process of securing the outbreak of the Coruna epidemic and the resumption of competitions this season, with a positive and very consistent impact on the entire team."
The announcement of the extension of the contract with Pioli comes to end months of negotiations between Milan officials and the agent Rangnick in order to contract with the German coach and give him broad powers that may cover both the tasks of the coach and sports director.
"I am happy and proud of the confidence I gained from Milan. I would like to thank everyone, including our fans, who we really lost in the stands, but they are always close and supportive of us," said Pioli.
