The Spanish rider Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda RC 213 V) has been successfully intervened at the Quirón clinic in Barcelona by Xavier Mir's medical team, for the fracture of the middle third of the humerus of his right arm and it has been possible to appreciate that there was no involvement of the radial nerve.
Marquez is has implemented a titanium plate to fix the fracture and if the recovery goes normally would contest the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic in the next 9 August.
Alberto Puig , sports director of the team, points out that "it will take Marc some time to recover , but we are happy with how everything went."
"All those who compete in the World Championship have the unfortunate possibility of getting injured and having to undergo surgery and because of bad luck, it was our turn and it was Marc who had to undergo surgery," Puig laments in a note from team press.
"It will take time for Marc to recover, but we are happy with how everything has gone. Dr. Mir and his team have taken care of the whole situation since the fall and have successfully carried out the operation, which gives the Repsol Honda team a lot of motivation , knowing that it has turned out well, but now we have to be patient to see how Marc recovers and understand when he can return, "explains Puig.
