An international virtual forum for women’s sport, organized by the Dubai Sports Council, will be held at 11:00 today, under the slogan “The future of women’s sport in light of the current challenges”, with the participation of a number of local and international women sports leaders, and world champions in various sports.

The Forum begins its work with the speech of the Chairman of the Women and Sports Committee at Dubai Sports Council, Rawda Al Mahrazi, and then the Forum concludes its work by presenting the recommendations issued by the discussions taking place in the four sessions of the Forum.

She added through statements conveyed by the Dubai Sports Council: «We hope to achieve a great benefit from this forum, and that all women in the Emirates and in all countries of the world benefit from it, and that we get from it with tangible results in light of the current conditions facing the sports sector in the whole world because of the Corona pandemic. , Which led to the cessation of sports activity, and the postponement of all sports competitions.

She revealed that the sport of women faces a great challenge to practice training and keep fit, so we had to discuss this crisis seriously and at an international level to find solutions that help us overcome these challenges.

For her part, Sheikha Naima Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for Women’s Sports in the Gulf Cooperation Council, stressed that the efforts of Dubai Sports Council have become noticeable at the Arab and international levels, especially in the field of developing women's sports and organizing major international sporting events.
