The Bolivian Football Association confirmed in an official statement today, Monday, that the President of the Federation, Cesar Salinas, died after being hospitalized as a result of infection with the new Corona virus earlier this month.

He explained in the statement that Salinas was an example of dedication and sincerity at work, while the South American Confederation called "Conmipol" Salinas in a statement in which he said: "Conmebol and the soccer family in South America feel very sorry about death."

Salinas had recently met the authorities with the aim of planning to resume soccer competitions in Bolivia, after the stoppage imposed by the "Covid-19" virus.

Salinas, 58, has chaired the Bolivian federation since 2018, and has served as club manager of the ancient club The Strongest, founded in 1908, where his wife, also infected with HIV-19, is the club's president.
