As announced for several weeks, Toulouse FC, demoted to Ligue 2 next season, was officially bought by the American investment fund RedBird Capital Partners. The latter, who now owns 85% of the club's shares, immediately appointed former Liverpool manager Damien Comolli to the presidency.

Olivier Sadran, president of the red lantern club for the last season of L1 before the early cessation of competition due to a coronavirus pandemic, has left office but retains 15% of the capital, said RedBird in a press release. Mr. Sadran had owned the club since 2001 when the team was relegated to National.
