Discus thrower Daniel Ståhl will be in charge of his throws in the coming weeks. This means that he will not play in the competition in Malmö on Sunday next week.

- We made a joint decision on Friday to stand over the next competition and train on the technique, says Ståhl's coach Vésteinn Hafsteinsson to Sportbladet.

The 27-year-old discus thrower last competed at the gala in Växjö on July 12, where he won with a throw of 68.72 meters.

- I felt physically strong, said a smiling Ståhl to the Swedish Athletics Association's webcast.

But despite this, his coach has not been happy with the throw during his competitions.

- He has not had a real hit in any competition this season and now we want to find his way back to the real competition feeling. He has lost the feeling in the draft and we need several training sessions to find his way back so that he feels safe, the Icelander tells Sportbladet.

According to information to the newspaper, Daniel Ståhl will not compete again until in Finnish Kuortane on the first of August.
