The competition was decided on a 1,800 meter long course in Sollefteå and the World Cup gold medalist from the World Championships in Seefeld finished in nine minutes and one second.

"I am pleased with today's effort. It was a while since I ran here but I think I managed to keep up, ”she says and flags that the record can be broken once again.

"Sometime in the future, I will manage to set a new personal record here as well."

Lindström won on the men's side

On the men's side, the former biathlete Fredrik Lindström won. The 30-year-old, who among other things has a gold from the Olympics in Pyeongchang 2018, finished in a time of 8 minutes and 23 seconds.

"This was the best time I've ever run, so I have to be happy with that. It is a tough challenge, no matter how trained you are, and even though I recognize the course from the ski high school, I was still surprised at how tough it will be towards the end ", he says.
