“Spartak Hockey Club confirms that a number of hockey players and staff from the team’s staff are currently undergoing the necessary course of treatment in connection with the revealed positive analysis for coronavirus,” the club’s website says.

It is noted that for three people a positive analysis was recorded even before the start of the team’s general gathering, and just before the start of the gathering another test was conducted, during which six more players and one team member were diagnosed with the disease. All hockey players and staff members were isolated.

“At the same time, after consultations with the specialists of Rospotrebnadzor, a decision was made today to suspend the training process and conduct additional testing for all hockey players, coaches and club staff based at the base in Novogorsk,” the statement said.
