Russian wrestler Makhov declared the champion of the Olympic Games 2012

This was reported on the website of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Makhov, who performed in the weight category up to 120 kg, initially won bronze at those Games, but both athletes who reached the final were disqualified due to doping.

For this reason, Makhov and Iranian Komeil Gasemi, who, like the Russian, lost in the semifinals, were recognized as champions. 

Earlier, the United Kingdom Field Hockey Federation admitted to using a secret drink before the 2012 Olympics.
