Next to the Saitama Kumagaya rugby field To construct an indoor playground and accommodation building July 14 19:07

Last year, a new facility such as an indoor playground will be built next to the rugby field in Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture, which was the venue for the Japan Rugby World Cup tournament.

The Saitama Rugby Football Association held a press conference on the 14th and announced that it would build a new facility next to the rugby field.

Three new facilities will be built: an indoor playground, an accommodation building, and an administration building that houses the clubhouse of the team.

The indoor playground is about 680 square meters with artificial turf, which means that it can be used by the public as well as team practice.

Also, about 300 people can stay in the accommodation building, which is used for training camps for high school and university students.

The maintenance cost of about 3.5 billion yen will be borne by the Saitama Rugby Football Association.

The facility is scheduled to be completed in August next year, and Panasonic Wild Knights, a rugby top league, will relocate its headquarters from Ota City, Gunma Prefecture to Kumagaya City, in line with the completion.

Atsushi Sakate, captain of Panasonic Wild Knights, said, "I think it's a great facility. I want to strengthen the team with new feelings."
