His Highness added: “The sports and physical activities that were organized during the last period have grabbed the attention of everyone, and aroused the admiration of the world, whether during the period of staying at home and the many activities during that period, or the stage of returning to practicing sports activity in Dubai, which was clearly marked by vision, proper planning and full cooperation with Relevant government institutions and under the umbrella of the Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai for the safety of participants and society, and through the protocols that have been developed, the return has been strong and successful at all levels in the various training and competitions that have been organized since the opening of the exercise of sports activity, and with the opening of all The areas of work, including the movement of travel and international travel to and from the country, will be for the Council new initiatives in this field in a way that makes the sports sector in Dubai go with the same strength of success in all other areas of life and achieve the same national goals ».

The board of directors said: “The Board reviewed the registration of Dubai’s sports institutions and restricted them according to the following categories: (sports academies, fitness centers, private sports clubs, and other sports centers), which exercise work in accordance with the precautionary measures until the 30th of last June, in addition to reviewing a report The Sports Events Organizers Forum, which was organized by the Council with the participation of 120 event organizers, in which the proposed date for the return of all sporting events and a guide to the procedures for organizing sporting events during the pandemic were discussed, and the role of the Council in supporting the efforts of the organizers and facilitating their work ».
The meeting reviewed the report of the Committee for Development and the Future, which included a number of initiatives and events that are being worked on to launch them during the coming period, in line with the development taking place in various aspects of life, including the sports field, and increasing the base of its participants and practitioners for its various activities.
The Board of Directors reviewed major international sporting events during the coming period and the ongoing preparations for them in light of developments related to opening air traffic and the regulatory procedures and protocols for the return of competitions and the return of the masses, as well as the desire of international federations to organize major events in Dubai in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council.
