Manchester United Football Club announced today, Tuesday, that the women's team has contracted with German attacker Ivana Fuso for two years with the possibility of extension for another year.

The English club said in a statement on its official website, that Fosso, 19, joined the team after the end of its contract with the Swiss Basel team. Fuso has previously played for Freiburg in the German Women's League.

The statement added that Fusso had previously participated with various Sunni groups for the German national team, and is currently the captain of the German women's under-19 team.

"I am so happy to be here, it was my dream to sign for a club like Manchester United, and Casey Stones (the coach) is a great coach and I look forward to working with her," she said in comments to her club's official website.

"It will be the first time I have played in England, the league is very strong and competitive, and I know that being part of this team will help me a lot to develop more as a player."
