Egyptian media today, including the Seventh Day newspaper, revealed that the talk of the president of Zamalek club, Mortada Mansour, about registering the title of "Zamalek, the real century club" was not completed, and that the matter does not exceed his request to register a special trademark with the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade.

The newspaper said that the request of the president of Zamalek Club, has not been officially broadcasted, and that he is currently under review, according to a recent source in the Ministry of Internal Trade Development Authority for "the seventh day." The newspaper said, according to the source that "any party has the right to apply for registration of a trademark," and that ultimately it is up to the ministry to decide whether to accept or reject it.

She indicated that the matter does not end until the application is accepted, as it is subject to review in case an opposition party lodges a grievance. She said that if the "Zamalek Club Club" sign is accepted, it will be published in the Official Gazette of Trademarks on the website of the Internal Trade Development Authority, starting from the seventh of each month.

It is noteworthy that Mortada Mansour had appeared in video clips on his account on Facebook, and he is displaying a document confirming that he has registered the trademark of "Zamalek, the real century club," where Zamalek is claiming his right to the title given by the African Union to the game 20 years ago to Al-Ahly Egyptian Club. Zamalek objects to it, having won 9 African championships versus 7 for Al-Ahly.
