  • The management of the FCN and its trainer Christian Gourcuff would very much like that several players leave the club.
  • Moutoussamy, Coulibaly, Touré and Wague are some of these elements which have a good output.

Christian Gourcuff is chafouin a few days before the start of the internship in Annecy. The Nantes coach hates working with a large group of players and often considers that too much competition does little to advance a team. In recent days, he has seen a new head land (Ba, loaned last season) and Evangelista, also on loan, is expected shortly. So much so that it now has a workforce of around thirty players.

In the meantime, some players know that they will not be selected in the event of an attractive offer. Even if Franck Kita, the deputy director general of the FCN, never wanted to confirm it on June 16 during the resumption, Samuel Moutoussamy, Kalifa Coulibaly, Abdoulaye Touré and Molla Wague have a good exit. Mandates have even been distributed to certain agents or intermediaries to find points of contact for these four elements.

Samuel Moutoussamy, a blocked future?

Last season, the midfielder, who arrived free from Lyon in 2016 at the Jonelière, only participated in 17 Ligue 1 games, including only three starts. Christian Gourcuff brought him to the posts of right winger and left lateral defender to compensate for many absences in the rear guard. In Nantes, Samuel Moutoussamy (24 years old in August) has hardly had the opportunity to shine in the position that suits him best, that is to say in the heart of the game and in a box role -to-box .

We had been able to observe his qualities more during the 2018-2019 season (19 tenures). Under contract until 2024, the former Lyonnais should not waste any more time. Its future seems blocked in Nantes with very great competition in the middle (Abeid, Louza, Touré, Chirivella, Batista Mendy). For the moment, no offer has reached him. His agent remained unreachable.

Kalifa Coulibaly, losing momentum and value?

Almost a year ago today, Lokomotiv Moscow made a firm offer of 9 million euros for Kalifa Coulibaly (28). It must be said that the Malian striker came out of a rather exciting season on a personal level with 8 goals in L1 in a little thirty games, including 19 as a holder. The management of the FCN, charmed by Malien's performances, had rejected the Russian offer. Especially since at the time, she still hoped to reconstitute the prolific duo Coulibaly-Waris [finally Waris did not return].

This summer, no club has yet really manifested for Coulibaly, author only of 4 goals in L1 in 18 tenures during the truncated exercise 2019-2020. There have been some approaches, notably from Turkish clubs, but nothing concrete for the one who is under contract until 2022. In the meantime, if an offer ends up on the Waldemar Kita's desk this summer, it should undoubtedly be lower that a year ago ...

Abdoulaye Touré, the start time has struck?

"Priority: make a good preparation already. This is what Abdoulaye Touré's entourage answers when asked about the future of Malakoff's child in the weeks to come. The Nantes captain (26), author of a sawtooth last season (24 tenures) and under contract until 2022, will not be retained (either by management or by Christian Gourcuff) in the event of an offer suitable for different parties.

Last summer, just before the departure of Valentin Rongier, the midfielder had not hidden his desire for elsewhere and his frustration. "If an interesting opportunity for both clubs and for me arises, we will think about it," Touré explained to Ouest-France last week. No firm offer has ever arrived for the Nantes captain. "Only approaches," says someone close to the case. There was THE Rongier file during the transfer window a year ago, that of Touré could very well animate the summer of 2020.

Molla Wague, the temptation of comfort?

It is undoubtedly the one of the four for which the club will have the hardest time finding a base. Molla Wague, who arrived last summer, is coming out of an almost white season (8 tenures in L1). And during the rare meetings during which he was aligned from the start, he did not reassure. The clubs should not rush on this 29-year-old central defender ... with monthly fees around 90,000 euros monthly. The Malian, much appreciated in the group, is under contract until 2022. Competition has increased in recent weeks at his post with the arrival of Castelletto (in addition to Girotto and Pallois).
