The two stars Omar Abdel Rahman and Ismail Ahmed were chosen as the perfect squad for the AFC Champions League players in the 2017 season, in light of the public referendum launched by the official website of the AFC throughout the past month.
The selection, which was chosen according to the audience’s vote, included: Abdullah Al-Ma’youf, Al-Hilal Saudi guard, in the defense line, Ismail Ahmed, Al-Ain player, and Osama Hawsawi, Al-Hilal player, both of them are in the center of the defense, in addition to the two backers Tomoaki Makino, and Ryota Moriwaki from the Japanese club Urawa Red Diamonds. In the midfield, the triple squad included Omar Abdel-Rahman, currently Al-Jazira player, and Al-Ain “previously”, Salem Al-Dossari and Carlos Eduardo, Al-Hilal players.
The choice of Omar Abdel-Rahman comes for the second year in a row, after he was chosen as the best player in Asia in 2016, and the most prominent elements of the perfect squad in the same year.
