Governor Koike, who has been re-elected in the Tokyo Governor's election, met with Chairman Mori of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Organizing Committee, and a meeting to discuss measures against new coronavirus in the future in preparation for the one-year postponed event. Governor Koike, who was re-elected in the Tokyo Governor's election on the 5th, met with Chairman Mori of the organizing committee who visited the Tokyo Metropolitan Government on the 6th.

In this, Governor Koike said of the tournament, which was postponed for one year, "I would like to advance the preparations for the tournament while giving priority to measures against corona. I would like to use my wisdom to hold such a big competition, so I would like to work in concert."

In response, Chairman Mori said, "I would like to launch a corona countermeasure meeting with the government, the capital, and the organizing committee. The biggest concern is what to do when limiting the number of people. I would like to start it in September. Thank you."
