Manchester United Football Club renewed Monday the contract of Serbian international midfielder Nemanja Matic until 2023.

Matic, 31, has participated in 27 games for Manchester United in all competitions this season.
Matic joined Manchester United from Chelsea in 2017, and his contract was supposed to expire in June 2021.
"I still have a lot to offer and accomplish during my professional career as a player, and I'm honored to be able to do that with Manchester United," Matic said.
He added, "It is really exciting to be part of this team. We have a good balance between the youth and the team's experience."
For his part, said Manchester United coach Olli Gunnar Solshire: "Nemanja has been here for three seasons, and he really understands the value of playing for the Manchester United team."
