It was on Thursday that the Premier League side Manchester City won with a full 4-0 against Liverpool, who have previously secured the league victory in England. Already today Manchester City played their next match, then against Southampton. A paper much easier opponent than Liverpool - but after just over the quarter, Southampton shocked when Che Adams scored the 1-0 goal on a pass from Stuart Armstrong.
The goal would also be the only match and Southampton could surprisingly endure and win by 1-0.
Earlier in the day, Liverpool bounced back from the loss last time the team won 2-0 over Aston Villa after goals by Sadio Mané and Curtis Jones.
