The warm-up man came to Höljes in an older car that was updated for the premiere. He got off to a bad start in the finals and took the wild card straight away. Worked up gradually through the field to second place behind stable and fast World Cup driver Robin Larsson. Sovereign until the final, Finnish Niclas Grönholm finished third.

- This was an important test for me. Larsson and Grönholm are extremely fast and they drove in their World Cup cars. I hope to get even better with my upcoming World Cup car, ”continues Kristoffersson, who is fully focused on the World Cup series in a large private venture for Volkswagen.

The winner Robin Larsson was happy with the day and with his efforts.

- It has worked cannon all day. I had a new car that I tried on track yesterday for the first time, but we quickly got into it. There has not been a single hassle on the whole day, he says.

After the factory stall left the World Cup series for 2019, Kristoffersson changed tracks. Last season, he became SM-second in the rally and this year's newcomer in the track racing series WTCR.

- I never stop being surprised at Kristoffersson's ability to come back in competitions. The comeback promises good and he has good chances to take a third World Cup title, says SVT expert Jonas Kruse.

The intention is that the World Cup premiere will run in Höljes 20-23 August. On Sunday, the second competition in RallyX Nordic will be run.
