The Disciplinary Committee of the Football Association, during its meeting yesterday via a remote communication system, headed by Chancellor Saeed Al-Houti, discussed the complaint submitted by Al-Ahly Youth Club against the Professional League and the Football Association, and the committee decided to give both the Football Association and the Professional Association a deadline until next Wednesday to respond to Shabab Al-Ahly complained against the decision to cancel the league, provided that the committee holds another session next Thursday to consider the complaint, after receiving the response of the Football Association and the League, bearing in mind that Al-Ahly youth submitted an application to crown him with the league title, which was leading his ranking until round 19.

The Discipline Committee decided to postpone its first meeting last June, after informing it by the General Secretariat of the Football Association that its legal period has expired, but the General Assembly of the Football Association decided, in its last meeting, to adopt the committee in its current formation, headed by Counselor Saeed Al-Houti, to continue to perform her job.

On the other hand, Vice-Chairman of the Committee, Counselor Hamdan Al-Zyoudi, submitted a request to the committee to refrain from considering this case, and the committee agreed to his request in this regard.

It notes, through yesterday’s session, that the Discipline Committee quickly resolved matters, through five legal steps that it had taken in this regard, namely: consideration of the case submitted by Al-Ahly youth, confirmation of its competence thereof, and identification of the demands made by Al-Ahly youth through its legal memo In addition to giving the Association of Professionals and the Football Association until next Wednesday to respond to the complaint, besides that the committee agreed to the request of its vice-president to refrain from considering this case, and fix the next Thursday as the date for the second session to decide on the complaint.

This issue witnessed rapid developments, after Al-Ahly youth rejected the League’s decision to cancel the league for the 2019-2020 season, without crowning the leader of the team’s ranking after the association’s board of directors called the association’s general assembly and the clubs ’vote to refuse to increase the number of professional clubs to 16, and to keep the current number 14 clubs Therefore, the cancellation of the relegation to the second division and the ascent to the professional league were canceled, as a result of which Al-Ahly youth did not crown the champion of the league, being the leader in the ranking list until round 19.

It is mentioned that Al-Ahly youth submitted at the same time another complaint in this regard to the Sports Arbitration Authority in the Football Association, pending its formal decision, in accordance with the regulations governing the work of these judicial committees.

Before the competition was canceled, Al-Ahly youth was top of the league competition teams ranking after 19 rounds, with 43 points, followed by Al Ain with 37 points, Al-Jazira third with 36 points, then Al-Wahda fourth with 35 points, and Sharjah fifth with the same balance.

• The Disciplinary Committee decided to postpone its first meeting due to the end of its legal period, before the general assembly approved the committee in its current composition.
