Internazionale strengthened itself on Thursday with Achraf Hakimi. The 21-year-old right back is reportedly transferred from Real Madrid for 40 million euros and signs a five-year contract with the Italian top club.
Hakimi was still with Real until mid-2022, but no longer had a future at the club where he also went through the youth academy. The Moroccan international played for Borussia Dortmund on a rental basis for the past two seasons.
This season, Hakimi came to 45 official games for Dortmund, in which he gave ten assists and scored nine times. Nevertheless, the 'Borussen' decided not to take over the talented fullback from Real definitively.
At Inter Hakimi becomes the teammate of Stefan de Vrij, among others. He is the first major addition to the 'Nerazzurri' with a view to next season.
Inter are currently in third place in Serie A, eight points behind leader Juventus and four at number two Lazio. The team of coach Antonio Conte is also active in the Europa League, which will be played in tournament form in August.
