Feyenoord has strengthened itself on Thursday with Christian Conteh. The twenty-year-old attacker comes from the German FC St. Pauli and signs a four-year contract in Rotterdam.

Conteh has long been associated with a move to Feyenoord, where he is considered a replacement for the injured Luis Sinisterra. The 21-year-old Colombian is offside until the end of the calendar year with a serious knee injury.

Twenty-year-old Conteh has been playing for St. Pauli since 2017. Last season, he made his first minutes in the club's main squad, playing in the Second Bundesliga. He eventually came to seven league games, in which he was twice accurate.

"We have been watching Conteh for a while," said Frank Arnesen, technical director of Feyenoord. "He is lightning fast, has a good action and is someone who can provide a lot of danger behind the lines. This boy has a lot of potential, and we want to give him the time, space and attention to develop it further."
