"We do not want any audience in connection with the competitions," says Marcus Dunér, event manager in a press release.
Earlier this year the competition was decided in the southern inlet of Marstrand where the public was able to see the sailing up close. But this year it will be different.
The decision was made by the organizers in consultation with Kungälv municipality and the police. Interested parties are instead invited to follow the event via television broadcasts in various sports channels. In addition to moving further out to sea, all public activities have been canceled.
