Among them, regarding the new league that was aiming to open next autumn, the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics were postponed for one year, so it was clarified that the next year, the aim is to open in January 2022.
Also, by the deadline by the end of June, 25 teams, including all 16 teams in the top league, had applied for entry into the new league.
The new league will consist of three divisions, and in the future we will review the application contents and after determining the number of teams for each division by the end of this year, we will consider the results of the top league scheduled for January to May next year And then divide the team.
“We want to have a division where we can build a tough match where we don't know which one will win each match when we think from the fans' perspective,” said Taniguchi.
