On LinkedIn, he wrote to Al Jazira's football manager Mads Davidsen:

"Hi, Mads. I would be very interested in coming to Al Jazira as a coach. Can I send my documents to you at an email address or how can I do it? Sincerely, Mats Gren. "

Davidsen replied that they were not looking for a coach right now.
