Occasional fans gathered outside Liverpool's Anfield arena and lit Bengals and drove around in cars to celebrate, clips posted on social media.

At the end of the first sea game, lightning rod Christian Pulisic ran through and put in 1-0 for Chelsea and there was great cheer even from Liverpool fans who from the TV sofas fell into Viasat's broadcast.

City a post shot from 2-1

At the start of the second half, Kevin De Bruyne gave Man City hope by bombing a free kick in a patented way. Shortly thereafter, Raheem Sterling was a bar shot from giving City the lead with 2-1.

Then both teams created chances. A quarter from the end, Chelsea pressed in a triple chance and City captain Fernandinho cleared his goal by knocking the ball away with a hand, a situation that was VAR-reviewed, and Willian was safe from the penalty spot, putting 2-1. The cheer was monumental in Liverpool.
