Jokic and Djokovic side by side, June 11 - STJEPANOVIC / BETAPHOTO / SIPA

Nikola Jokic will not return to Denver right away to prepare for the NBA revival. The Nuggets star contracted the coronavirus in Serbia, where he notably encountered Novak Djokovic during a gala basketball match on June 11, where he appeared very sharp.

The pivot, which tested positive last week, is asymptomatic and should have the green light for its return to Denver within a week. The Nuggets did not comment on the news, claiming it was private.

According to the protocols set up by the NBA, Jokic will have to be tested twice negative in 24 hours in Serbia, before being authorized to travel. Once in Colorado, he will have to be tested once again and have a cardiac exam.
