IOC Tokyo Olympics Simplified proposal Presented to international competition groups June 24, 19:04

Regarding the Tokyo Olympics, which will be postponed to next year to promote simplification for cost reduction, the IOC = International Olympic Committee will reduce the size of the competition venue including the exclusive cars of the officials of the tournament and the audience seats to the international competition organization. It turned out that it shows a concrete plan of simplification.

Due to the influence of the new coronavirus, the IOC and the Games Organizing Committee have agreed to simplify the tournament from the perspective of cost reduction and infection prevention for the Tokyo Olympics, which has been postponed for one year, and specific studies are underway. ..

Along with this, the IOC has announced a policy to jointly consider proposals for infection prevention and cost saving to all international sports organizations in front of the board meeting held on 10th of this month. This week, I am presenting to the international sports organization a concrete plan for simplification that I have scrutinized in the working group.

According to the people involved, the IOC suggested that the period of use of the venue would be shortened, the size of the venue including the audience seats would be reduced, the seats of the participants would be reviewed, It means that the number of private cars will be reduced and the use of taxis at public transportation and at your own expense will be included.

In addition, we plan to consider directing the competition venue and awards ceremony, and reviewing the interior and exterior of the venue.

This time, the specific proposals presented by the IOC will be discussed individually for each item such as the appropriate number of spectators and the way the athletes should be serviced at each competition group, and the opinions will be sent to the working group by the IOC and the Organizing Committee. Will be sent for further consideration.

The final plan will be finalized at the IOC Coordination Committee in September.
